Yale Patt (University of Texas, Austin)

Yale Patt is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Ernest Cockrell, Jr. Centennial Chair in Engineering at UT Austin. He enjoys thoroughly teaching both the 400+ freshmen in the required intro to computing course and the 25 graduate students in his advanced microarchitecture course. He has also taught intensive courses to graduate students at many campuses in the HiPEAC community. He has been teaching for 45 years, and as he now approaches mid-career, he is looking forward to another 45 years as a professor and teacher.
